Our inaugural Vagabond Art Club exhibition together with my old friend Wai Ming Lung, brings art outside the usual gallery scene.
The Club du Jeu de Paume is a historic private squash club, created in 1907. For these hallowed halls we curated Jeu de Main Jeux de Vilains (Hand and Ball Games), an ancient French expression dating back to the first court games.
Vagabond Art Club presents portable works, within cabin baggage dimensions (55 x 35 x 25 cm), and at affordable prices, capped at €1,500.
Jeu de Main Jeux de Vilains explores the playful transgression of boundaries in contemporary art, between gesture, pictorial, conceptual, design, and craftsmanship, by a selection of 20 French and international artists:
