Inside China in Paris, by K11 Art Foundation & Palais de Tokyo

K11 Art Foundation and Palais de Tokyo successfully presented their inaugural co-produced exhibition in Paris, Inside China, on October 19th ahead of FIAC.

Inside China is part of an extensive institutional partnership designed to incubate young Chinese artists.
This year, co-curated by Jo-ey Tang from the Palais de Tokyo, and 王春辰 Wang Chunchen (中央美术学院 Central Academy of Fine Arts) from K11 Art Foundation, Inside China features young contemporary Chinese artists 李钢 Li Gang and 赵要 Zhao Yao from Beijing, 于吉 Yu Ji from Shanghai, 吳昊 Wu Hao from Wuhan, and Edwin Lo from Hong Kong, in dialogue with French artists Renaud Jerez, Aude Pariset, and the great XIXth century photographer Nadar.
Together they represent a new wave of creators whose work negotiates the over-production, monumentality and rapid development to which they are witness, embedding these challenges into their own systems of production.

asiadeep music compilation out now on digital plaforms

http://po.st/asiadeep

I am proud to finally present my asiadeep compilation on Pschent Records.
Chill electronic and acoustic, for digital release on most platforms:

French electronic label Pschent (Hôtel Costes) has commissioned me to bring together a digital music selection from Asia's rising new  generation of independent artists, the first of a series exploring the entire world.
This is a first compilation designed as a collection demonstrating Asia’s artistic vitality and diversity, from its rising new generation of artists.
In return for the love and loyalty from our fans in Asia, our aim is to recognize and promote local original talents to regional as well as worldwide audiences, curious and proud to discover fresh creativity from across the continent.
This compilation of 16 tracks is pulsating with good vibrations, eclectic and celebrating the many local scenes and regional tastes: electronica, chill, acid jazz, jazzy hip hop...

Enjoy

NeoFolk Asian contemporary art show in Singapore, January 15 - March 1, 2014

Our 2011 NeoFolk exhibition has its 2nd installment at Ikkan gallery, Helutrans bldg, opening January 14th for Art Stage Singapore.
With Clear Edition Tokyo and Kult Singapore.

NeoFolk2 explores the work of artists in Asia who have been rediscovering their roots and traditional crafts, by remixing and creating images inspired by their heritage.
These artists use the same visual language of their ancestors to create a commentary on contemporary Asian culture and society.
This multimedia exhibition gets under the surface of living in modern Asia. We see this form of visual expression as a search for identity, a desire to rework heritage in order to shape the future.
